Deregulation, conservation tips at The Crossings Thurs. Tannersville, PA.

Electric deregulation information and tips on alternatives will be offered Thursday at the American Eatery in the Crossings Premium Outlets in Tannersville.

State Sen. Robert Mellow, D-22, the Democratic minority leader, is hosting an informational kiosk also designed to provide holidays shoppers with tips on how to save money on winter heating bills.

Attendees from 1-4 p.m. will receive information on electric deregulation and the alternatives available to them when rate caps are lifted next month. They will also be able to find out more about programs and services available to help lower winter utility bills, as well as tips on how to be more energy efficient during the winter months.

Representatives from the state Public Utility Commission, PPL, UGI, alternative retail energy suppliers, and the Pennsylvania Consumer Advocate will be on hand to answer questions. Weatherization experts will also provide advice on lowering home energy costs.

The American Eatery is to your right after driving through the main entrance to the outlets, between Carter’s and Tommy Hilfiger.
